Williamsburg, VA

Spent a couple of hours in Colonial Williamsburg.  Such a fascinating place and so rich in history.  It is a living history museum and historic district that brings the 18th century to live, specifically the years leading up to and d1700uring the American Revolution.  You can walk through the restored colonial capital where people in period clothing act, work and live as they did in the 1700s. There are over 80 original buildings/structures and 100s more of reconstructed. You can see tradespeople at work such as: blacksmith, printer or a carpenter.  Actors portray real historical figures and interact with visitors.  Walking down the Duke of Gloucester Street feels like stepping back in time because there are no cars, just brick paths and horse drawn carriages.
