Cedar Key RV Resort, FL
Arrived and checked in to this great RV resort. Resort has a pool, clubhouse, activities and Todd was happy to see pickleball courts. When we arrived we got set up and my friend Jessica came to visit with her husband Jeff and pup Colby. We had a drink and some snacks at the RV then went downtown to Cedar Key to watch the sunset and have dinner. Many of the shops and restaurants are still rebuilding after the last hurricaine. Delicious dinner at Steamers.
Tiki Bar at Sunset
In between downtown Cedar Key and our RV Resort there was a Tiki Bar so we stopped to check it out. Great bar with such a fun atmosphere. A guitar player was performing and there was a bonfire to keep warm - yes it was a bit chilly! The bar even had about 10 spaces for RV camping. Would have been a great spot but no we didn't move the RV.
Enjoyed the community atmosphere at this resort. So many kind people. We enjoyed pickleball, workout classes, Bingo night, game night, pizza dinner night, live music and pancake breakfast. Definitely, a great stay!
Manatees at Crystal River!
One of the highlights of our time here was a drive to nearby Crystal River to see the manatees come into the springs. It was unseasonably cold and we heard that the manatees would come into the springs because they like the warmer water there. We made the 45 minute drive and were not disappointed! These beautiful creatures were such a treat to see. There were an estimated 200 manatee there to warm up.
